Card and Stamp drive

Stamps and cards are our biggest expenses, and we anticipate spending more than $2,000 on them this year. Stamps are integral to what we do, but prices are once again going up. The most direct way to help us is to shop Forever stamps on the USPS website and have them shipped to the address below-- you'll save money before July 28th when stamps go up to 83 cents each. Likewise, you can buy us mail rule compliant cards to help us reach all our members on their birthdays.

Card limitations

There are a lot of mail rules that affect what cards we can send. Please read the descriptions of cards carefully.

Cards should be one piece of cardstock folded in half, nothing else.
No glitter, paint, printmaking ink, adhesives, handmade paper, textures, embellishments, metallic foil, glossy spots, embossing, etc.
If it's a fun extra, it's probably not allowed
We can receive cards with closure stickers, but we can't use the stickers

Additional tips:

Please make sure the inside message is appropriate and sensitive to limitations of their incarceration
No cards that are religious, childish, or romantic (no hugs or kisses)
No references/images of alcohol (champagne, beer, etc) or drugs
We could use 10-20 Spanish cards
Try searching for "bulk" or "boxed" cards-- you can buy cute cards for 50 cents and they are plainer
Please do not send more than 100 total cards without checking with us-- we don't rent office or storage space.
